He obtained his DNB degree in ophthalmology in 2000. He is a fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, United Kingdom (UK). He has a vast academic and clinical experience. Currently, he is holding the post of Professor of Ophthalmology at Nilratan Sircar (NRS) Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. He is a author of two books on ophthalmology and has published more than 50 research publications in his credit in various national and international journals.
